About NAS Thames Valley School

Thames Valley School is The National Autistic Society’s first free school, providing highly personalised, autism-specific education to pupils on the autism spectrum aged 5-16. The purpose-built school, opened in 2013 in Reading, offers pupils a broad, flexible yet challenging curriculum with a focus on science, ICT and other digital skills as they move through their education. Pupils become active members of their community, with plenty of opportunities to gain experience in the world of work and engage them in their learning. The school recently achieved ‘Good’ in their first ever inspection from Ofsted, who commented pupils were ‘very well prepared for life in modern Britain.’
